The CLOUD campaign goes on!
Come to our meeting on 20 March 2018, 7.30 Cobblers’ Suite, Boot and Shoe, Scotforth to find out more and shape next steps.
Please share this on social media, by email or by chatting to neighbours.
Why vital ? Publication stage of local plan and objections will be seen by Planning Inspector
Those of you who attended the drop ins last year and signed up to be kept informed by Lancaster City Council about the Local Plan and Bailrigg garden village, will have received the following notice of the publication of the local plan on 9 February 2018: http://www.lancaster.gov.uk/planning/planning-policy/publication-local-plan
To quote Lancaster City Council:
This is an opportunity for you to make representations on whether the DPDs are legally compliant (ie do they meet the relevant requirements of national planning legislation) and whether the DPDs are 'sound' (ie do they meet the relevant requirements of national planning policy).
Representations will be considered alongside the DPDs once submitted as part of the examination by an independent Planning Inspector.
The Inspector will determine whether the DPDs have been prepared in accordance with the Duty to Co-operate, legal and procedural requirements, and whether it is sound.
It is crucial to write in to the City Council Planners at this stage. Because:
Comments that have been received during previous consultation exercises will not be carried forward to the Publication Stage.
This is your last chance to object and your objections will be seen by the Planning Inspector and will make a difference.
You can use same words as previously, but must send in again. We will discuss how at the meeting.
Come to our meeting to get involved in shaping this crucial phase of the campaign.
If you are able to help us deliver flyers about the meeting during week beginning 5th March and 12th March please let us know and the area you can cover. Many thanks!
